Another Broken Egg

The meeting was called to order by President, Deborah Standifer. Deborah announced that due to time restraints she was going away from the normal agenda today.
Deborah proceeded to introduce the new recipients of the Susan Briggs Awards.
First, recipient was the James Smith Center in Ensley. This center provided excellent chances for the children in the area. George Wilson received a check for $1,000.00.
The next recipient was Harper Anderson. Harper attends Vestavia High school and has a GPA of 3.6. She plans to attend Birmingham Southern. Harper was presented with a check of $1,000.00.
The next recipient was Maggie Nelson. Maggie also attends Vestavia High school and has a GPA of 4.3. Maggie was presented with a check of $1,000.00.
The next recipient was Emma Grace _________. Emma Grace attends Spain Park High School and as presented with a check of $1,500.00.
Reports:
Secretary, Mary Shelton called the roll. Clubs not present were: Birchtree/Hoover, B’ham Tennis, Brook Highland, Country Club of Birmingham, Greystone Country Club, Highland Racquet Club, Hoover Country Club, Lake Cyrus, Life Time Fitness, Mt. Brook Club, Pine Tree Country Club, and River Chase Country Club. The absence of these clubs may be due to the fact the winter league is still playing.
Motion was made by Sherry Butler and seconded by Betty Austin to approve the minutes of the last meeting.
Treasury Update:
Pattie Moultrie: Previous balance $13,402.78. Expenses = $3,163.00. Deposits $6,200.00. Current balance: $16,439.78.
Scheduling:
Annamarie Wilson said that 63 teams are registered for the spring season. The 4.0 division seems to be down. Looks like Tuesday and Wednesdays are the heaviest days with teams. Matter of changing days was throw out, but quickly decided that was not feasible. She urges captains to utilize the Match Day Helpers with questions and issues. Questions regarding line up and sub eligibility should be addressed to level coordinators prior to match day. Schedules should be ready by the end of week or first of next week.
Susan Briggs Tournament:
Upcoming in October. Date: TBA. Need new faces, volunteers and new facilities willing to host event.
Fall 2017 85% Stats winners:
The attached file contains the names of those players who achieved 85% in the fall 2017 season.
There was a drawing for door prizes. Congratulations to all these winners.
Fall Move Down Request Granted:
The attached file contains the names of those players who were granted move down status.
Winners and Runner-ups for the Fall 2017:
The attached file contains the names of those clubs and teams who were winners and runner-ups. Reps need to pick up prizes today for these winner/runner-ups.

A short discussion as held regarding changing time for winter league. It was decided to leave time the same.
The meeting was then adjourned.
